Parents are the first and best teachers of the faith for their children. In order to assist the parents in this responsibility, our parish offers classes for parents and godparents . These classes are held on the second Sunday of July, October, January and April at 11:45am in the parish office. Please register ahead of time by calling the office. (440-967-8711)
"Confirmation is one of the ensemble of the Sacraments of Initiation into the Church, together with Baptism and Eucharist. Confirmation completes the grace of Baptism by a special outpouring of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, which seal or "confirm" the baptized in union with Christ and equip them for active participation in the worship and apostolic life of the Church" (Catechism of the Catholic Church)
At St. Mary’s for teen participation in the Confirmation program, they must attend two years of class preparation. Call the office (440-967-8711) for more information. Confirmation classes are held on Sunday evenings.
"The Sacrament of Reconciliation is a sacramental celebration in which, through God’s mercy and forgiveness, the sinner is reconciled with God and also with the Church, Christ’s Body, which is wounded by sin. "(Catechism of the Catholic Church)
The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession, Penance) is celebrated in our parish on Saturdays from 3:00- 3:30pm or anytime by appointment by calling the office.
Communal Penance Services are celebrated seasonally during Advent and Lent. At these services, we usually have 4-6 priests assisting the pastor in the hearing of confessions. Consult the parish weekly bulletin for times and dates.
Preparation for First Penance for school age children takes place at either PSR or St. Mary School. Parents and students participate in monthly meetings beginning in September.

Anointing of the Sick
One of the seven sacraments, administered by a priest to a baptized for a number of reasons:
In danger of death
Increase old age
Before giving birth
"The proper effects of the sacrament include a special grace of healing and comfort to the Christian who is suffering the infirmities of serious illness or old age, and the forgiving of the person’s sins." (Catechism of the Catholic Church)
This sacrament is celebrated when requested to the priest. A communal celebration of this sacrament occurs twice a year in the fall and in the spring.
